Thalir, our studio space was conceived as a place of open dialogue and discussion. The interior spatial arrangement is done according to their respective functions.
The functionality of our design manifests in the separation of public and private spaces. The public zone is focused on serving as an interaction zone between clients/vendors and our team. Upon entry, we are welcomed into a waiting lounge that further opens into the conference room.
Being a small space, we wanted to avoid completely closing off spaces behind partitions, hence the use of transparent glass. The frosted pattern on the glass partitions helps maintain a certain level of privacy.
The private zone includes individual workstations, the MD cabin and storage spaces. An open plan layout here facilitates internal discussions among team members and encourages teamwork. These spaces can also double up as extra workstations, in case of a growing team.
The private zone is located at the perimeter of the office, buffered from the entrance and planned at close proximity to natural light and ventilation.
A restrained colour and materials palette is employed throughout, in shades of grey and wood. The existing raw ceiling is painted in a darker grey shade and runs throughout the studio. The exposed electrical lines in black add a rustic touch to an otherwise subtle envelope.
A pop of colour is extended by the entourage of interior plants and succulents. In an otherwise off-white, neutral space, they are a welcome burst of vivacity. The ambient, task-oriented lighting coherently ties the space together.
